St. John's Church Of Uganda
St. John’s Church Of Uganda Kawuku is a historic community of faith rooted in the Anglican tradition. We gather to seek God through the beauty of the liturgy, the depth of the Sacraments, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Our parish is a place of sanctuary and peace, where the ancient rhythms of prayer meet the needs of the modern world. Our mother diocese is Namirembe and we under luzira Archdeconary.
Our congregation is committed to spiritual formation and practical service. We offer programs for children, youth, and adults, including Bible study, small groups, and prayer ministries, alongside outreach initiatives that support those experiencing hardship. Whether you are seeking a quiet place for reflection or a vibrant community to call home, you are welcome here.
DIOCEASAN THEME
This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls……

As we step into this new month, remember ‘that God is already ahead of you. He knows every challenge, every opportunity, and every prayer you have carried into August. Nothing you will face can surprise Him.
This month is an opportunity to trust God more deeply. Leave behind fear, regret, and disappoinment from previous months. Embrace His promises with confidence, knowing that He is ordering your steps. Where doors have remained closed, God is able to open new ones. Where you have experienced delays, He can bring divine acceleration in His perfect time.
Walk into this month with faith, prayer, and expectation. The God who has sustained you this far is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in your life.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of a new month. I surrender every plan and desire into Your hands. Go before me, guide my decisions, protect my family, and let Your favor surround me. May this month bring spiritual growth, divine opportunities, good health, and testimonies that glorify Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection:
What is one area of your life that you need to trust God with more fully this month?
Have a blessed and fruitful August!

Word from Parish Priest
Greeting in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we walk together in faith, we are reminded of God’s boundless love and grace. The church serves as a refuge, offering hope, guidance, and fellowship to all who seek it. In these challenging times, we are called to deepen our trust in God’s promises and find strength in His Word. Our role as clergy is to shepherd the congregation, bringing forth the teachings of Christ in a way that empowers believers to live in righteousness and grow in their spiritual journey.
