The Most Rev. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu was elected 9th Archbishop of the Church of Uganda on 28th August 2019 and was enthroned as Archbishop on 1st March 2020 in St. Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe, Kampala.
Ven. Can. Moses Banja
Bishop – Namirembe Diocese
Ven. Canon Moses Banja was born on 20th October 1964 in Nakabugo Bbira, Busiro. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior on 3rd December 1989. He was ordained in 1996 and priested in 1998. He is married to Rev. Canon. Prof. Olivia Nassaka Banja and God has blessed them with three Children.
Ven. Can. Geoffrey Wilson Kakooza
Archdeacon of Luzira archdeaconry
Ven.Can. Geoffrey Wilson Kakooza was installed as the 7th Archdeacon of Luzira Archdeaconry on 17th March 2024 at St.Stephen’s C.O.U Luzira. Before he served as the Parish Priest of Kamuli. He replaced Ven Canon Moses Banja who is now the current Bishop of Namirembe Diocese.
