St. John's Church of Uganda – Kawuku

Who We Are

St. John’s Church Of Uganda Kawuku is a historic community of faith rooted in the Anglican tradition. We gather to seek God through the beauty of the liturgy, the depth of the Sacraments, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Our parish is a place of sanctuary and peace, where the ancient rhythms of prayer meet the needs of the modern world. Our mother diocese is Namirembe and we under  luzira Archdeconary.

At St. John’s C.O.U Kawuku you will experience everything from traditional and contemporary gospel, spirituals, hymns and contemporary praise.

Special prayer times are available in each service such that worshippers can present their prayers to the most high God.

One of the high points of our services comes with the preaching of God’s Word. This is the time when the congregation hears a message from God’s word. The messages are powerful and practical.

Our church family is given an opportunity to give back to God in support of the ministry. Giving is both online through mobile money and physical during our services.

Our Mission

The mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve our community in love, guided by the teachings of Scripture and the traditions of the Anglican faith.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a welcoming and transformative church community that reflects the diversity and unity of the body of Christ. We envision a church that actively engages in the community, reaching out to those in need and sharing the hope and love of Jesus with all.
